After graduating as a mechanical engineer over 15 years ago, Andrew Shedden has worked in the motorsport industry for several championship-winning Formula 1™ teams including Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1™, Scuderia Ferrari F1™ and Renault Sport F1™.

Specialising in lightweight composite and metallic design, Andrew has been involved in the design, development and manufacturing of complex carbon fibre structures, such as F1™ and Hypercar monocoque chassis, gearboxes and wings, as well as bodywork and bespoke electrical installations.

Since founding the consultancy in 2014, Andrew now leads and manages as pro engineering ltd., focusing both on technical design as well as business development, to grow the consultancy and increase its presence as lightweighting specialists within the Automotive, Motorsport and Cycling industries.

Passionate about engineering from an early age, Andrew was a recipient of the U.K Arkwright Engineering Scholarship, and went on to become a registered Chartered Engineer with the IMechE at the age of 26.

My primary interest lies in finding novel ways to apply my motorsport background to help solve difficult problems for our ambitious clients. 2025 already looks to be a very promising year for us, as we continue to grow, form exciting new partnerships and take on more demanding and challenging projects.”
